Salvation: Your Identity in Christ

Returning To Intimacy With Christ Web Page

Scripture: Gal. 3: 27-29 For all of you were baptize into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male or female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.
Introduction:

Identity is the fact of being who or what a person or thing is, the state of having unique identifying characteristics held by no other person or thing.

Self-worth the sense of one’s own value or worth as a person; self-esteem; self-respect

I.   Mistaken Identity:

  1. When we base our identity or our self worth on what the fallen world says of us we will receive a false identity.
  2. It is equivalent to asking a blind man for directions.
  3. 2 Co. 4:4 the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
  4. We have allowed parents or the people around us to define our identity or self-worth.
  5. Many people have no idea of their identity, who they are, what they want to do or their purpose for living.
  6. The self-image they have of themselves is nothing but a lie.
  7. Many people have been called loser, worthless, or no good like your father or mother.
  8. The sad thing is we believed them.
  9. Words like this hurt and take years to overcome for some people.
  10. Our identity is not found in what anyone says about you.
  11. No imperfect person has the right to define who you are seeing how that they also have fallen short of the glory of God like the rest of us.
  12. Our identity is not found in our failures.
  13. It doesn’t matter how many times you fall it how many times you get back up and keep going that says a lot about your character and who you are.
  14. Abraham Lincoln failed 2 times in business, 8 times to be elected before becoming the president of the United States.
  15. He could of quit many times but he never gave up.
  16. That is what made him a great man.
  17. He never gave up.
  18. Our identity is not defined by our circumstances or by people.

II.   Our Past Identity:

  1. Many times we allow our past sins to identify who we are as a person.
  2. Many people are haunted by their past.
  3. When the devil as well as people throw all our mistakes and failures up in our face and it is difficult to resist the truth about us.
  4. However, Our identity is not defined by our past even though it is the truth.
  5. The devil accuses us of what we have done.
  6. But Jesus says that is the truth but my blood covers it all, to be remembered no more.
  7. My Dad was called Wild Bill, when God changed his heart didn’t like this nickname that reminded him of all the bad things he had done.
  8. His new identity was Sweet William in Christ.
  9. Until we come to Christ all of us have been defined by our past.
  10. Phil 3:13 forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies
  11. There has to be a breaking of the will in order for us to be redefined in Christ.

III.   The Breaking of Our Will:

  1. Before we can recognize our true identity our will has to be broken of the lies of that false image we have taken pride in.
  2. Acts 7:30 and in Exodus 3 Moses was raised in Egypt for 40 years then when he killed an Egyptian he fled to the backside of the desert where he lived another 40 years.
  3. It took the Lord God 40 years in order to break the will of Moses.
  4. In Exodus 3:11 Moses said who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh?
  5. Then again in Exodus 4: 10 I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.”
  6. Moses faith in his own abilities was greatly diminished after 40 years.
  7. God greatly used Moses who found his identity in God.
  8. Joseph was a young boy who was pretty cocky with the dreams that God had given him.
  9. Genesis 37: 2 Joseph was17 years old when his brothers sold him to the Midianites.
  10. Genesis 41:46 Joseph was 30 years old when he became ruler of all Egypt.
  11. If my math serves me correctly Joseph spent 13 years as a slave and in prison.
  12. Joseph’s will had to be broken.
  13. He had to totally rely on God in all of his circumstances.
  14. Because of his total reliance upon God.
  15. God was with Joseph and blest him wherever he was.
  16. God allows our own consequences of sin and circumstances to break us of our own self will.
  17. So He can reveal who we really are……priceless treasures.

IV.   Our Identity is in Christ;

  1. We have to put on Christ before we can discover our true identity and our internal worth that we were born with.
  2. Putting on Jesus Christ is likening to putting on our armor.
  3. Some armor on the breastplate has their family crest identifying who they are.
  4. Our breast plate crest is Jesus Christ.
  5. The breastplate of righteousness is not our own but the putting on of Christ righteousness by faith.
  6. Think of putting on the chain mail of Christ upon your body followed by His breastplate of righteousness over the chain mail with His crest upon your chest thereby identifying who you are to the world.
  7. Paul stated in 3:9 that he had not a righteousness of his own but the righteousness that comes through faith in God.
  8. So therefore the chainmail and the breastplate is the clothing ourselves in Jesus Christ.
  9. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise. (Galatians 3:27-29 NASB)
  10. We have lost our identity in Christ no longer are they’re any nationality, nor male or female but we are all as one in Christ.
  11. Jesus is our new identity
  12. Matthew 10: 40He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.
  13. Matthew 18:4-5 “Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 “And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me;
  14. Those who gave their hearts to Christ gave up their lives for something better.
  15. He who has lost his life for my sake will find it and indeed we have.
  16. If you define yourself as a loser you will forever walk like a loser if you allow God to define you a child of the king you will walk as a son of God with privileges.
  17. All the promises of God all the host of heaven are here to support you in your walk with God.
  18. 2 Kings 6:15 -17 Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” 16 So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 Then Elisha prayed and said, “O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” And the LORD opened the servant’s eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
  19. The God of heaven told Moses, Joshua, Jeremiah and countless other to be not afraid.
  20. Why? There is more with us than be with them!!!
  21. Only the one who is our creator can define who you truly are for He made you.
  22. Christ listing of attributes——switch to Me
    1. Loving
    2. Compassionate
    3. Servant of All
    4. Giving
  23. You, all that you are—–switch to Jesus
    1. Hateful
    2. Spiteful
    3. Selfish
    4. Liar
    5. Stealing
    6. drugs
  24. Then switch Jesus to your list and your name to Jesus list.
  25. Jesus takes on what we WERE so we can become who He IS

V.   Our Inheritance:

  1. Has we find our identity in Christ walking as a child of the King we have certain privileges.
  2. Not only ALL the promises of God, not only ALL the host of heaven to back us but we also have an inheritance.
  3. As Joint heirs with Christ we will own it all.
  4. Ephesians 1: 3 – 14
  5. Let’s break down these verses.
  6. In verse 3 “blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly in Christ” Blessed is in aorist tense meaning it is past tense it has already happened, done deal.
  7. In verse 4 He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless before Him.
  8. In verse 5 he predestined us to adoption, as sons through Jesus according to His will and this in verse 6 is because of His grace which he freely bestowed upon us.
  9. In verse 7 We have redemption through His blood the forgiveness of all sins and again it because of the riches of His grace in verse 8 he lavished upon us.
  10. Meaning God spared no expense He went all out to secure our salvation.
  11. In verse 9 & 10 he made known to us the mystery of His will that is the acceptance of the redemption of the Jews and Gentiles by faith into His kingdom.
  12. In verse 11 we have an inheritance that was predestined according to His purpose.
  13. Predestinated according to the Greek is in aorist tense meaning it was decide before hand of our inheritance according to His will.
  14. In verse 12 the first to hope in Christ is the Jews.
  15. In verse 13 and 14 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.
  16. We are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise given as a pledge of our inheritance, we are God’s own possession.
  17. Sealed is the proof of purchase the redemption of those who accepted His plan of salvation.
  18. He sealed the purchase by putting the Holy Spirit inside of us.
  19. We now have all the authority of heaven backing us because of who we are or rather whose we are.
  20. Ephesians 3:1- 7 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—2 if indeed you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace which was given to me for you; 3 that by revelation there was made known to me the mystery, as I wrote before in brief. 4 By referring to this, when you read you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, 5 which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit; 6 to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel, 7 of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God’s grace which was given to me according to the working of His power.
  21. 3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;
  22. 2 Tim 2: 12 we will also reign with Him;
  23. Romans 8:16 -17 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ,
  24. John 3: 35 “The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand.
  25. SO this is meaning that everything we see that God has created is ours because it is our inheritance ordained by God in being joint heirs with Christ.
  26. Ephesians 3:6 that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,
  27. We are truly rich as Christians.
  28. There is absolutely nothing we should ever be ashamed concerning our walk with him because we will own it all.
  29. We need to walk differently from now on as Christian’s.
  30. No longer are we the scum of the earth in the worlds eyes, we belong to the Jesus Christ the Son of God.
  31. We serve the God of the Universe who by His grace has given us access to His salvation and has planted His Holy Spirit as a seal guaranteeing our place with him.
  32. The Holy Spirit within us will help us to be MORE THAN CONQUERORS with anything we face as long as we totally rely upon Him.
  33. We has JOINT HEIRS with Christ what the world calls their own is actually all ours through Christ.
  34. As a Christian with the Spirit of the living God inside us comes with all the privileges, promises and support from the King of Kings.
  35. Never walk in fear again for we have a living hope an eternal hope in the heavens.

Salvation: Partakers of The Divine Nature

Returning To Intimacy With Christ Web Page

Scripture: 2 Peter 1:1-4 For by these He has granted to us His great precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.

I.  Partnering With God:

  • Partakers of the divine nature the word partakers in the Greek means to partner, to be at one with,
  • In John 17:21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, That they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.
  • Remember Jesus only spoke and did what His Father told him to speak and do.
  • They were one with another partners together.
  • In a marriage union you become one flesh, you partner with one another.
  • In marriage you fully know them, completely know them, the likes and dislikes of one another and you do that which pleases each other.
  • This is what it means to be a partaker of the divine nature, to partner with God to be at one with, to fully know him, to completely know him.
  • To only do what you see the father doing in scripture.
  • To be a working unit together.
  • To fully know our new partner inside of us is to learn of Him through His words.
  • So we can think like He thinks thereby doing what He has done and continues to do.

II.  Knowledge of God:

  • We cannot underestimate the power of taking in and understanding the knowledge about who God is.
  • God’s word is powerful sharper than any two edge sword.
  • Just the word of God alone brought into existence all that we see before us.
  • So believing in that very same word is just as powerful.
  • In verse 1 precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our savior Jesus Christ.
  • Verse 2 grace and peace will be multiplied through the knowledge of God.
  • Verse 3 His divine power has given to us everything that pertains to life and godliness and it says it again that it is through the knowledge of him.
  • In verse 4 He has granted to us His great precious and magnificent promises so that by them you MAY become partakers of the divine nature.
  • SO here is the truth right here the main point.
  • Faith in these great precious magnificent promises will positively insure that you will be a partaker of the divine nature.
  • At the point when you fully completely believe in the specific promise the Holy Spirit inside of you reacts to your faith and the word you believed in becomes a part of your thinking process thereby making you a marriage partner in the divine nature.
  • The essence of God inside of us is in seed form and needs knowledge in order grow into the divine nature of God.
  • Galatians 5:24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
  • If we are to walk in the Spirit the flesh must die.
  • Because you cannot do the one with the other.
  • One must die while the other thrives.
  • But it takes time, determination to go all the way with Christ.
  • Hence according to the previous verse Galatians 5:16 the more we walk in the Spirit the less we will carry out the desires of the flesh.
  • The one overrides the other over through the process of time and increased in the knowledge of God and our savior Jesus Christ.

III.  Be Willing to Surrender Our All:

  • Matthew 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
  • We must humble ourselves as a child, be emptied of all previous knowledge in order to soak up the knowledge of God.
  • Psalms 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
  • Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
  • Meek in the Greek means to be gentle, to be humble.
  • So how important is it to become a child in the ways of the Spirit extremely important.
  • A child always hungers to learn more and more always asking why, why, why.
  • Except we become as little children we shall in no wise enter in.
  • Be willing to surrender our all to take in this knowledge that God has given to us
  • Hebrews 12:7- 11 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. 11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
  • Chastening in the Greek means to train or to discipline or give instruction in the way that is right.
  • There it is again, ”we might be partakers of His holiness.”
  • It yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them who are exercising daily faith in the word and by circumstantial situations that draw us to God.
  • Last week we learned The Greek word for Born is gennao meaning to become the parent of.
  • God chastens us as His children, why? it is the only way we learn His way is the best way.
  • In 1 Peter 3:1 in the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands.
  • Submissive is the Greek word hypotasso which means to obey, to make subordinate, to be subject too.
  • As the wives are submissive to our spiritual leadership as husbands we are to be submissive to our groom Jesus as being the bride of Christ.
  • The first step in our Born-again into the Spirit life we need to be humble in God’s sight, we must humble ourselves to His knowledge and authority.
  • The same word is used when Joseph and Mary found Jesus who was twelve years old being left behind was found at the temple, Luke 2: 51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them or in subjection to them, is the same Greek word being used hypotasso.
  • We know absolutely nothing about thinking, crawling, or walking in the Spirit unless the Holy Spirit teaches us through the word of the Lord.
  • We cannot learn if we are not submissive and do not have a teachable spirit.

IV.  The Raging Battle:

  • James 4: 4 – 6 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. 5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? 6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
  • Lusteth to envy, ESV uses the word yearns the Greek word is epippotheo which means long for; desire intensely
  • Picture a Mother or a Father who desires intensely for their children to listen to their sound advice to steer away from the pitfalls of life.
  • Why because they love them so fiercely that they want what is best for them.
  • Now picture the Holy Spirit inside of you intensely desiring, fiercely yearning for you to steer away from the pitfalls of life.
  • Learning the ways of the Holy Spirit, walking in the ways of the Holy Spirit you cannot do by performing outward manifestations of our human flesh.
  • Friendship of the world is the enemy of God.
  • Why do you think that is?
  • Because the world does all things by physical labor, individual striving relying on themselves to do all works required of them.
  • Knowing this, we cannot do any striving of the physical strength of our body nor mind to do the requirements of the spirit.
  • Why? Because we are not spirit!!!
  • Look at it another way.
  • In Galatians 5: 16-17 NASB But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. 17 For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.
  • So if we learn to walk by the Spirit you will not carry out the desires of the flesh.
  • But how do we do this?
  • You see, in sin what was formerly easy to do before Christ is now harder because after Christ there is opposition to that sin so that you may not do the things that you please.
  • The Spirit inside makes you uncomfortable when it comes to the same sins you did before.
  • Anything regarding the flesh (labor, strength, muscle, brute force) is set against the Spirit and the Spirit is against the flesh.
  • They are complete opposites.
  • One wants to do his own way and the other does it for you.
  • Flesh is self-service and the Holy Spirit is full-service.
  • Flesh you clean the carpet yourselves and the Holy Spirit company cleans the carpets for you.
  • Either you push the car to your destination or you allow the car to take you to your destination.
  • In John 4:12 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
  • Therefore we must submit, surrender to the Holy Spirit to do all things for us.
  • The answer for all our struggles is in God’s word and through the Spirit.
  • So three things we must do with every situation in order to walk in the Spirit.
    1. Identify God’s position on the Subject. Is it right or wrong?
    2. In your heart set your mind on obeying and responding like Jesus to that position.
    3. Then call on the Holy Spirit to empower your decision base on the biblical position.
  • You are walking by the Spirit by doing this.
  • Galatians 5:25 If we live (meaning your saved) in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
  • “If we live” in the Greek this word means to become alive again, born-again.
  • So by the wording in the scripture it is possible to be born-again in the Spirit but not be walking by the Spirit.
  • That is why walking in the Spirit has to be learned, first we crawl, then walk totter around holding onto things until we can walk in the Spirit without falling over.
  • It wont be easy it will be awkward at first. Just keep doing it.
  • By doing this every time with the sin easily besets you, you are including the triune Godhead to be involved with every problem.

Discipleship Series on Salvation: Regeneration

Returning To Intimacy With Christ Web Page

Script. Titus 3:3-7 For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. 4 But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, 5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Emphasis Mine)

I.    Regeneration:

  • In Greek (palingenesia) means rebirth or re-creation. Its meaning stems from the Greek Palin, meaning again. Genesia meaning to bring into being, to be born.
  • This new life is described in three places well four, one being in the Old Testament .
  • 2 Co 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation
  • In John 3:3 is where Jesus tells Nicodemus about being Born-again.
  • Also in Romans 6:13 about being alive from the dead.
  • Regeneration is a process of a resurrection from the dead.
  • What was once dead has come to life.
  • When faith in the word of God mixes with the Spirit of God new life takes place.
  • Faith within the sinner brings together in union the power of the word with the Holy Spirit of God within that person’s heart.
  • Thereby forming a totally new creature in Christ, born-again and alive from the dead.
  • Ezekiel 36:26 “Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 “I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.

II.    Born Again: John 3: 1- 8

  • In John 3 Nicodemus came to Jesus at night and compliments Jesus saying we know you that have come from God as a teacher, for no one can do these signs unless God is with him.
  • Jesus answered?
  • Answered what Nicodemus never asked a question but Jesus answered what his heart wanted to know.
  • In John 3:3 “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
  • Nicodemus realized that just having the knowledge about God’s word is not enough that’s why he came to Jesus.
  • He was still empty; he knew there had to be more.
  • Jesus simply cut to the chase.
  • Nicodemus is a very wealthy influential man of high position in society well versed in the scripture.
  • The life of a Jew
    1. Ages 5-10 memorize the Torah
    2. Ages 10-14 memorize all the rest of Tanakh (Joshua to Malachi)
    3. Ages 14 on if he was brilliant enough he could go on to Beit-Midrash or house of study, then he would attached himself to a local Rabbi that he respected, if the child was worthy of consideration he would quiz him to see how well he knew the Torah and the rest of the scriptures, (Tanakh) and was able to debate it. It was a grueling period of testing. He was then told either to “take his yoke upon him” (be that rabbi’s disciple) or “go ply your trade” (work the trade of your father)
  • So when Jesus said Art thou a master of Israel and knowest not these things?
  • A master teacher of the Jews is not just a title but spent his whole life in memorizing, interpreting and debating the meaning of God’s holy word.
  • Nicodemus to achieve this level of status he was to be the best minds of the best minds of his day.
  • The truth here is you can know a lot about scripture and still be missing the point of it all.
  • We need to realize you can know a lot about God but not know of God.
  • You can know the facts but not know the person.
  • The Greek word for Born is gennao meaning to become the parent of.
  • Also in 1 John 5:18 the same word is used “begotten of God” is the same word gennao.
  • So when the Word by faith is joined in union with the Holy Spirit within the heart of the believing sinner we are begotten of God or God is the parent of Stan, Vicki etc.
  • This is a great miracle for the very God of heaven has just deposited himself within the heart of the believing sinner.
  • The very God of heaven DEPOSITS HIMSELF within a sinner who believes in his word is fused with the Holy Spirit.
  • Making His newly birthed creation His new child.
  • If the two do not meet you (Faith and The Spirit) do not have life.
  • If faith does not connect with the Spirit you do not have life.
  • A seed that is planted just like the baby inside the womb needs the right nourishment in order for him to grow.

III.    Knowing God Fully:

  • Jesus is telling him you cannot fully know of God until you are born from above, until you are born of the Spirit.
  • 1 Co 2:11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
  • Therefore no one can know you personally without first knowing your spirit or knowing your heart.
  • No one can fully know God without having the Spirit of God inside of you.
  • It is impossible to know God without His Spirit to teach you about Him.
  • John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
  • Flesh cannot comprehend the things of God that’s why it seems as foolishness to them.
  • You have to be born of the Spirit to know the things of God, you cannot know God by any other means.
  • His Holy Spirit taught all you now know about God regarding him as a personal being.
  • In Philippians 3:8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ my lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ.
  • And in verse 10 that I may know him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death
  • Everything in these two verses is very personal, excellence of the knowledge of Christ my lord, I may know him, power of His resurrection, fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.
  • The more you know the more you grow like when a seed is growing, it’s showing, it sprouts, its bursting through our human soil.
  • We produce fruit for others to enjoy for others to see.
  • Our fruit is a product of the root of God.
  • Without Jesus we can do nothing!
  • The more knowledge of who God is what makes the seed grow and sprout and produce fruit.
  • Faith needs intelligence to grow just like a physical baby.
  • SO the more you know about God the more you grow.
  • How many of you are a 1,000 miles down the road from when you first believed and since the Spirit of the living God was birthed inside of you?
  • Hebrews 4: 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
  • With God’s word there is power.
  • However without faith in His word changes will never happen.
