The Compassion of Jesus

John 11:35–36 Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

Often when we go through illnesses, financial crisis, deaths and abuse we think no one cares about you, but that is simply not the case. Jesus weeps over the tribulations and trials that we go through. It says that we have a high priest who is touched by our infirmities because he experienced all of these calamities that we go through. When the 3 Hebrew men were thrown into the fiery furnace God was there in the midst with them. So, you are NEVER alone. God is always with you to the very end to comfort you and to carry you home to heaven. Oh, see how much He loves you and never fear He will never leave you nor forsake you. by Richard W. Wafford

Over Coming Obstacles

Revelation 3:21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

We have to keep pushing forward in seeking Christ every day of our life. In so doing we are overcoming the obstacles we confront in our life through Christ. Ironically, the more we seek Christ the more he empowers us to live out His truth. We have to keep our sights on heaven; we must stay the course and keep our mind on Christ. He is our stability of assurance in this chaotic world that we live in.

Romans 8:31 If God is for us, who can be against us?

God is on our side so who in this world would dare come against us. But we know that they will but regardless of what happens to this body, we win. We win in this life but we also win in the next life in eternity in heaven with Jesus.

Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Through Christ we are more than conquerors but these three words actually means in the Greek language to overwhelmingly conquer over the evil one. Why? Because of our relationship to Jesus Christ as he overcame all things so will we as well.

Lightning Bug

2 Corinthians 4:6–7 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.

In one Sense we are lightning bugs in a dark world. We are lighting the world right where we are in our little dark space of life. Because of the grace of Christ, we are jars of clay with the treasure of His light shining in our hearts. We were once dead to anything spiritual our understanding of God darkened until in believing faith in Jesus caused his light of knowledge to shine upon us and in us. God empowers us daily to overcome hardships, attacks from the evil one, trials and at times persecution. This power to overcome and persevere against all odds comes from God to help us on our journey home to heaven.
