Matthew 10:42 And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”
Jesus said that the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than John The Baptist, which means there is different rewards given to each Christian.
1 Co 3:11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
1 Co 3:12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,
1 Co 3:13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.
1 Co 3:14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.
1 Co 3:15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
We must not lose heart in doing good for others for even when no one compliments you for what you do for others, heaven never loses track of every small thing of good you do. We will always reap we what sow whether it is good or whether it is bad. Doing good for others brings you not only blessings in this life but rewards in the next. Keep being like Jesus, loving others until your very last ounce of strength is gone for great will be your reward in Heaven.
