SO YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD? In John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world that he gave…….only begotten son. Reading through the bible you will see a reoccurring theme throughout that God IS love. If you wish to experience love the first thing you must do is to experience God as a person. If you do not experience God then you cannot experience love for they are one and the same. God shows us his love for us and then what we have seen in Him loving you and me, we go out into the world to show others how His love can change humanity. Love is not a feeling but a choice otherwise God could not command it to be done. He says, ” if you love me keep my commandments.” Note the action on our part to keep his commandments. Also look at the great love chapter in the bible.
“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.” 1 Corinthians 13:1-8 ESV
You see in the verses above it is a choice a decision on our parts to be patient, kind, not envy, not boastful, nor arrogant or rude, nor insisting your own way, nor irritable, resentful, no rejoicing at wrongdoing. Please notice the following will pass away prophecies, tongues, and knowledge but love never ends. Jesus loved 12 men and by showing them His love and truth about life itself through these men changed the world. 2,000 years later we are still talking about his great sacrifice on the cross in dying for our sins. Jesus The Christ changed the world through love!!! If we wish to do the same we will take 1 Corinthians 13 seriously to heart. The world is in constant search for love and fulfillment but they will only find it in Christ. Change the world through Jesus Christ, experience him in order to change everyone you meet.
