How to be content when the heart cries out, how to appease the yearning of the soul within, how do you tame a sailor who longs for the sea or the hunter who cries for the forest, the longing for the heart can a human be, to quench the thirst from within with the tangibles of life to fill the need, the touch of someone the tears of another the anguish of the soul in need, to seek a power not my own to tame the stirrings from within is my prayer ~ Intimacy With Christ ~Richard

The Joy That Was Set Before Him
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1, 2 ESV) The joy that was set before him was you and me. He was already in the splendor of heaven so therefore he endured the cross because, “We are His joy!!!” Consider now what Jesus has done for you…………………….Jesus suffered with 40 lashes for your healing, he died the cruelest death known to man for your sins and rose again the third day for your victory over evil.
So just what are you doing about the sin in your life? What are you doing for the grace freely given to you? Are you taking advantage of His word daily for your empowerment? Are you getting on your knees daily to fill your life with joy and a peace that passes all understanding? You are in misery because of the sin in your life, so how long does it take or will it take for you to say no to sin and live fully for Jesus Christ? Why, does it take a tragedy in a persons life in order for them to wake up spiritually?
“Now therefore fear the Lord and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:14, 15 ESV)
God desires to do great and mighty things in your life but he cannot do it without your permission. Because of Joshua choosing to serve The Lord, God enabled him to conquer all of his enemies and did great mighty things through him because he dared to believe. He dared to trust. He dared to serve when it wasn’t easy to do so. He dared to stand upon the word of The Lord when no one else did.
How long will it take for you to decide?
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8 ESV)
I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. (John 10:10 ESV)
In case you haven’t heard it in a long while I LOVE YOU AND JESUS LOVES YOU!!!
