We need to give the world a better Christian!!!
The world sees a Christian that’s no better with sin than those people who are unbelievers. I’m not advocating that we will be perfect I’m just saying we can give them a better class of Christian than what they have been seeing.
In order to give the world a better class of Christian God will have to allow us to go through trials, tribulations and persecutions. We will experience the testing of our faith and at times we will fail but it will produce a steadfastness in us that will bring about a maturity thereby perfecting and completing us.
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” (James 1:2-4 ESV)
We are only as powerful over sin as we think we are; knowing the truth gives us that power to succeed, to overcome, and to conquer. Know God’s truth and become a power house for Jesus Christ.
“I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.”(Ephesians 1:19-23 NLT)
Jesus came to earth not only to give us a personal intimate demonstration of the reality of who He is as the Son of the Living God of heaven. He not only came to reveal to us the truth of the mysteries of God but to show us by example that through the grace of God we too can conquer over sins destruction in our lives.
Sins ultimate and permanent goal is separation, not only from all those you love because of your extreme selfishness to gratify your lustful desires but from the God of heaven in the lake of fire, which is the second death and second death meaning a complete permanent separation from all of Gods goodness (Rev. 20:12-15). A separation from God’s goodness is an unimaginable torment of all your senses.
As Christians all across the known world we often make excuses to sin and as to why we keep committing acts that keeps us weak as Christians as well as robbing us of all peace, joy and abundant life.
Paul strongly tells us what place sin should be in our lives.
“Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.” (Romans 6:12-18 NKJV)
So who is your true master is it Satan or is it God the Father through His Son Jesus Christ?
Keep in mind what the Apostle John tells us ……………. “He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” (I John 3:8 NKJV)
So if Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, how much more should we keep sin out of our lives and quit making excuses that its just our nature. Jesus destroyed the works of satan on the cross and his resurrection so therefore he has given us the power to overcome.
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” (I Corinthians 10:13 NKJV)
He has given us everything we need to be Victorious in todays battle for our souls.
“No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” (Romans 8:37 NLT)
Let us stand tall in the face of adversity constantly reading, studying and ruminating of His word along with worshiping Christ through praises and thanksgivings all throughout each and every day.
Intimacy With Christ is a must!!!
“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.” (Matthew 7:13, 14 NLT)
Please do not come to the end of your life only to stand before God to hear him say, I’m sorry but I never knew you!
Love and Prayers
Richard
